La Ventana, BCS, Mexico

La Ventana is a small town in Baja California Sur, Mexico, on the Bay of La Ventana and the Sea of Cortez, about an hour from La Paz. From mid-October to early April a thermal wind, squeezed through the strait with Isla Cerralvo, fills the bay most afternoons, peaking December to March. Sand launches, warm water and a paved road from La Paz make it a kite and wing foil town.
