El Sargento Rentals: Houses, Casitas and Studios
El Sargento sits at the north end of the same bay as La Ventana, with three of its kite launches. The rentals here are houses, casitas and studios on quiet streets — some by the night, some by the month.

El Sargento is La Ventana’s neighbour at the north end of the same bay, and the rentals here are houses, casitas and studios on quiet residential streets, a short walk or drive from the water. Some let by the night or the week; others by the month, on a lease, through the winter season.
La Tuna, the northernmost kite launch on the bay, and Las Palmas at the entrance to town are both in El Sargento, so staying here doesn’t mean staying far from the wind. Here are the El Sargento rentals on this site, and what each one is like.
El Sargento rentals, house by house
- Casa Eva — about a five-minute walk to the water and roughly ten minutes by car to the main La Ventana launch. A corner for the kite bag, a proper workspace, and Wi-Fi that holds a video call.
- Casa Arrullo — a casita in a four-unit compound, walking distance to the cafés in El Sargento, with a dedicated workspace on a quiet street.
- Casa Palmar — on the residential side of El Sargento: walking distance to the little shops on the main road, a short drive to the main kite beach, with Starlink.
- Casa Catarina — two houses on a walled lot, with a heated pool and sea views, two blocks from the beach.
- Tres Tesoros, upper studio and lower studio — quiet, airy studios with views, in a small compound about a kilometre along Calle Leonor Meza Martinez.
- Casa Del Toro — a vacation rental in El Sargento.
Each listing shows how it’s let and how to book, and everything else open on the bay is on vacation rentals in La Ventana.
El Sargento or La Ventana?
The two towns share one bay and one wind, and the drive between them is short. The difference is mostly which launch you want at the end of your street. For La Tuna and Las Palmas, El Sargento puts you closer; for Baja Joe’s and the launches in La Ventana proper, a house there saves the drive. The kiting field guide lists all seven, north to south.
Whether you need a car depends on which street you’re on. Casa Eva and Casa Palmar both work without one if you’re happy where you are, and less well if you want to move around the bay every day — the car note goes through it.
By the night, or by the month
For a week or two, book by the night. For the winter, a monthly rental is a different thing: a signed lease for whole months between October and May, a deposit that’s held, and utilities outside the rent. What “by the month” means has the detail, and the houses let that way are on monthly rentals in La Ventana.
Working from El Sargento
Casa Eva and Casa Arrullo both have a dedicated workspace on a quiet street, which is what makes a working winter bearable. Before you book, read working from La Ventana — your time zone decides more than the Wi-Fi does.
The bottom line
El Sargento is the quieter end of the same bay, with its own launches and its own cafés. Pick the house by the launch you want and the length of your stay, and if you can’t decide between two, send us both — we know the streets.
