Paying

When am I charged?

Sending a request takes no money. Your card is authorised for the amount — a hold, which your bank may show as a pending line — and nothing leaves your account.

The hold becomes a charge the moment the owner approves. Approving is the payment: there is no Pay button to come back to and nothing to chase. If the owner declines, or the request goes unanswered for six days, the hold is released and you are charged nothing. A released hold is not a refund — nothing left, so nothing has to come back.

Card details are entered on our payment processor's page, not ours — we never see or store your card number — and a receipt appears on your booking page straight away.
