What currency are prices in?

Every price on the site is displayed in US dollars, so listings can be compared with each other. That used to be a per-visitor setting and it caused more confusion than it solved — two people looking at the same house were reading different numbers.

Display is not the same as the charge. Each listing is priced by its owner in either dollars or pesos, and that is the currency your card is actually charged in. Where they differ, the listing page shows both — the dollar figure and the real amount — before you pay.

The dollar figure is converted at a rate we refresh daily. As the rate moves it is the dollar number that changes, never the pesos the owner is owed.
